We train and breed labradors to find shed antlers. We have developed a training program that has been proven to work. Our program is one of the top programs around. We have focused on being a small kennel. Having only a few dogs to helps ensure all dogs get the neccessary care and socialization. We only have a few litters a year. This helps the dogs here at Antler Labradors to build great bonds and be easily trained.We are committed to producing the finest antler dogs around.
A dog that has been trained to find antlers works similar to a dog that has been trained to hunt upland game.
This generally involves the dog working out at about 25 to 50 yards. While any dog can be trained to do this, the ones that do it the best are usually as a result of selective breeding for those characteristics. All of the dogs for sale on this site come from proven shed antler hunting lines and have been specifically selected to be not only great antler dogs, but also come from some of the best "field trial" lines available. This means you can hunt waterfowl or upland in the morning and sheds in the afternoon!
